2017 SEASON

The time has come for the 2017 Molson League to kick off.  We hope everyone wintered well and you are ready for a great season.

We are looking for 5 new teams to get us to 18 teams. If you want more information please email or call (613 477 1831).    Bonus: Teams that refer a new team to the league, that commits to playing, we will give each player on your team, (up to 4 players), one FREE foursome.  So, tell your friends, family and business associates about your league and receive this BONUS offer.  More teams means more fun.

 

Our opening night is Tuesday, May 2nd and is a shotgun start at 5:30 pm. We will run 19 weeks and go to Tuesday, September 5th. This will include regular season and playoffs. Our opening tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2017. Our year-end tournament is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2017.

 

The league team registration fee will remain the same at $160 per team. This includes two team food nights, plus dinner at the end of season tournament for 4 golfers, and prizes each week.   

 

Our opening, “seeding” tournament, is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th and is a shotgun start at 9:00 am.  This is a new time for the Opening Tournament. We will play an 18 hole, 4-person scramble format. The tournament cost is listed below. A hamburger lunch is included in fee for that day and is available after the round. Please arrive before 8:30am register your team and to warm up on the driving range. We will send teams out to their holes by 8:50am. Each team will be assigned to a golf hole at registration. Points will be awarded and divisions will be established based on your placing in the tournament. We encourage you to stick around for a great burger lunch, cold beverages, and good fun.

The prices for Saturday, April 29, 2017, 9:00am shotgun are as follows:

Non Member - $55 + HST    (Green Fee / Cart / Lunch)

Golf Plan Member – $45 + HST    (Green Fee / Cart / Lunch)

Roundel Glen Member - $30 + HST (Green Fee / Cart / Lunch)

Silver Membership or Higher – $20 + HST    (Green Fee / Cart / Lunch)

 

2017 Tuesday Night Golf League – Update

We will be instituting a similar payment process this year. This worked very well in reducing no shows, and improving the overall operation of the Tuesday Night Golf League. 

 - Green fee and carts will be paid as a team at the beginning of the season. Players will no longer have to line up to pay for their green fees and carts each week. Your team captain will collect fees from all teammates and provide one cheque. We will also accept one credit card payment for the entire team if that is more convenient.  Teams are responsible to collect from each player on the team and then pay Trillium Wood as a group.

- Each team is made up of a minimum of 4 golfers. Each “Non Member” golfer will pay $424.78 plus tax for the entire season. This amount covers you for 19 weeks of golf with cart. The $424.78 is equivalent to 15 games at the regular rate of $28.32 plus tax. Therefore by paying up front each player receives 4 free weeks of golf and cart. If we have to cancel one of the nights due to poor weather conditions, we will issue a rain check for the 9 hole green fee and cart, valid Monday to Thursday.

 - If your team is made up of members at Trillium Wood then they only pay the cart rate for the season. The cart rate for the season is $79.65 plus tax.  Carts will be mandatory for the league. The table below outlines the various costs per team based on the makeup of the team. If you have a Roundel Glen member on your team they will pay half price or $210.50 plus tax.

 - If you need to have a spare cover for you and you are a regular player (not a member) the spare does not have to come into the golf shop to pay. It is up to the team to organize how you want to handle your spares. If the player on your team requires a spare and they are a member and the person sparing is not a member then the person sparing will have to come into the golf shop to pay the regular rate of $23.00 +hst (green fee portion only, as the member has paid the cart fee already).

 - It is mandatory that everyone checks into the restaurant to sign in. This allows us to monitor who is on the golf course. We will from time to time, have a player assistant tour the golf course to remind people to sign the sheet in case they forget.

Team Food Nights

On two nights over the summer, we will have our Team Food Nights. After the round we will be offering free food, special drink pricing, and entertainment.

 

Weekly Format

2 – 2 Person Teams, Scramble, Match Play for 9 Holes maximum.

Each team of 4 players splits into two - 2 person teams and plays the other team.
